Inspiration Behind The Project
We wanted to try and solve a problem where families who are living apart, has a way
to monitor someone’s health. For example, in India we have many kids who goes to
boarding schools or the elderly who live in a different household. For them, our web-app is a way to ensure that their loved ones have a way of monitoring their health.
Progress of our Web-app
I, Heri Patel (UI/UX designer) and Akshay Arora (Full - Stack Developer) are working on this collaborative personal project. I have been highly involved in UX research and designing aspect of the project and current status for our web-app is Under Development. Currently, we have managed to create all of the UI Screens that we have implemented on our Front- End System and it utilizes static data as a demonstration on how our application would look once completed. We also concluded our first usability testing phase where we received feedback from actual would-be users and Implemented changes accordingly. We have yet to create responsive designs for mobile applications, this is something we will Implement once our web-app has finished its development cycle.

Application Workflow
Our application is simple to understand. The flow is that a user would wear a smartwatch with compatible operating system (watchOS and wearOS) which would interact with our Web-app using APIs to transfer monitored data. Our database stores the recorded data and users can interact with it on the application. Our application also has a dedicated page to find resources such as, Hospitals, Pharmacies as well as Doctors. Our in-build algorithm also triggers a notification response in a case where it detects abnormal user data such as, high or low Blood Pressure.
Research
1) Problem Identification
My problem identification process is rooted in empathy, allowing me to see through the eyes of users and identify pain points that might go unnoticed. This empathetic lens is crucial for crafting solutions that truly resonate.
2) User Research & Competitor Analysis
We started by investigating problems families faced while being away from their loved ones. We noticed that a prominent concern among them was not being able to watch over their families who live far away for their well being.
Define
The next phase in the process was to define the problem based off of the research I had conducted:
1) Persona
2) Problem and Solution Statements
1) Persona
In order to better understand the users, I developed a persona based off of my research that worry about their loved one's health. The needs of the users I had interviewed were combined to create a representative of my target users.
Jayesh Patel who is a businessman living with his family in United States whose Parents reside in India, they have high blood sugar and blood pressure. Being busy with his business, finding time for personal matters, especially the health of a loved one, can be challenging.
Goals
- Want check family's health even when they live far away
- Want to get updates regularly
- Want to get notified regularly or in case of an emergency
Pain Points
- Not able to get enough time to communicate with his parents due to busy schedule and different time zones
- Not being able to help his parents with their medicines
- Not being able to monitor their health
2) Problem and Solution Statements
From my research and information I gathered from users, I could now define the main problem.
Problem Statement :
Jayesh wants to check and get updates on his parents' health even when they are in different country using Jeevan Cure.
Solution Statement :
By using Jeevan Cure, he is able to monitor their health matrices such as Blood Sugar, Blood Pressure, Heart Rate and Physical Activities. Also, get notified using text/call incase of an emergency.
Design
Sketches
All the data from my research and Information architecture helped me begin the design phase.
Sketches helped me visualize the website and determine the best flow for the site. I cut out pieces of paper and laid them on top of various sketches as a form of ideation and to work through the different parts of the site. I designed aweb-app using 3 main pages such as Landing page, Login page and Main page (Open after log in into account).
Sitemap
Using the data from the user research and competitive analysis, I created a new site map for the website that allowed for a more intuitive and user-friendly navigation.
Design and Testing
The Sketches were then turned into medium-fidelity wireframes in Figma. These wireframes went through two rounds of usability testing, which greatly improved the user flow for the site.
Mid-Fid Wireframes & Usability Testing
Once the wireframes were created, I begin testing on 5 users. Users were instructed to perform two main tasks in two rounds of testing
Task 1 : Go to website, Login into main page and Schedule the reminder
Task 2 : Go to dashboard, Add details for emergency alert.
Iteration 1
